Economic and Social Policy in Transformation Countries
Our Faculty of Business and Social Sciences would like to extend a very warm welcome to Mr. Ucha Gogishvili as a visiting lecturer in WS 18/19.
He works for Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia. His responsibilities include working as the Head of the Department of Public Relations of the Faculty of Economics and Business as well as being a lecturer in the same faculty.
At TSU, he teaches classes for both undergraduate and graduate students (B.A. and M.A.)
His main research interests and his main area of publications include Social Policy and the Integration of Georgia into the European Union.
His faculty visit to our university an integral part of the exchange activities in the framework of ERASMUS+ mobility with partner countries (Key Action KA 107).
In WS 18/19, he taught two highly interesting electives in the B.A. Program of our Faculty of Business and Social Sciences:
- B258 International Studies I (Economic Policy in Transformation Countries), Tuesday, 16:00-19:15, mid-November to January.
- B260 European Studies (Social Policy in Transformation Countries), Wednesday, 14:15-17:30, mid-November to January.
In both of these electives, Ucha Gogishvili enabled students to experience international economic policy from a different perspective and to explore some central challenges from the point of view of transformation countries in the Caucasus region and beyond!
