RheinAhrCampus is a friendly and welcoming campus with nearly 3000 students. It was established in Remagen in 1998 by the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences to offer a variety of new degree programmes in the areas of Business & Social Sciences and Mathematics & Technology. Since then the campus has grown steadily, while remaining true to its original aim of providing first-class education in an innovative environment where lecturers and students see each other as partners.
Remagen is located directly on the river Rhine which has just been awarded world heritage status by UNESCO for its outstandingly beautiful scenery and medieval castles (see video). Campus and town offer a variety of sports and leisure activities. It is a great area for cycling, skating, jogging or walking. Close to Remagen and easily reached by public transport are the larger cities of Bonn, Cologne and Koblenz. They offer a wide range of music events, clubs and bars, museums and a multicultural setting. Other well-known cities in Germany like Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich are within easy reach by train or plane.
