He has economics degrees from the University of the West Indies (B.A.), the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom (M.A.), and the University of Florida in the United States (M.S. and Ph.D.).
Since South Carolina and Rhineland Palatinate are sister states, Coastal Carolina University developed a partnership with Hochschule Koblenz. Student exchange, faculty exchange and a highly successful Summer School Program are three pillars of this long-standing cooperation.
Dr. Jordan taught three courses at RheinAhrCampus as a guest professor from May to July 2014 (second teaching term):
- Managerial Economics in a Global Context (Monday, 16:00-19:15, A129)
- International Study Skills: Global Economic Issues (Tuesday, 8:15-11:30, A013)
- Macroeconomic key factors and their impact on business (Monday, 14:15 and Tuesday, 11:45, A129)
All of these courses were taught in English. The students had to write papers, deal with project assignments and participate in discussions. Thus, the students at RheinAhrCampus were able to substantially improve their oral and writing skills in English.
