Semester at RheinAhrCampus changed my life
Kyuwon from the South Korea, Winter Semester 2019/2020
Hallo! My name is Kyuwon, I am from South Korea. I studied one semester in Hochschule Koblenz RheinAhrCampus as a exchange student. Remagen is a quiet town compared to where my home university is located. So I could have peaceful time in nature in Remagen. I really enjoyed my student life at RheinAhrCampus. I usually took a walk along the beautiful Rhein riverside and took picture of Remagen. The reason why I decided to study as an exchange student in RheinAhrCampus was that I wanted to have new experience. During my exchange semester, I achieved my goal that I expected before I came Germany. I collected many new experiences. First of all, I met good friends. I met exchange students from other countries and I met German friends who helped me to adapt to new place. We are from different countries and different cultures, so it was a good opportunity for me to get to know other cultures. Secondly, this exchange semester was a chance to improve my language skills. Before I decided to study in Germany, I could not speak a single word in German. But now that I have lived in Germany for one semester, I learnt German on a basis level. Furthermore, I usually communicated in English with my friends and I took classes in English. So my English skills improved as well. Thirdly, I grew and learnt a lot. This exchange semester changed me. Now I am not afraid about getting out of my comfort zone and challenging something new. Now I feel comfortable meeting and talking with new people. For now, I can say I am lucky to have these experiences. I will never forget my semester at RheinAhrCampus. I will miss Remagen and all of my friends. Thank you all for making my exchange semester unforgettable.
