Aussie in Shorts

I was lucky enough to be able to study at RAC in Remagen during the Summer Semester in 2015. Remagen is a beautiful little town on the Rhein River which was very welcoming to International Students. I became well know to many local shopkeepers as the “Aussie in shorts”! RheinAhrCampus was a fantastic small university which was very caring towards all of its students, especially to the International Students. There were some great courses, in particular, International Business Simulations, which gave us a hands-on approach to conducting and learning business instead of a just reading a text book.

The Wohnheim (student dorms) was really good for student accommodation and I got to know many of my fellow dorm friends and ended up enjoying lots of weekend activities with them. I was lucky enough for some of my German friends to open up their houses to me and show me their home towns from around Germany and also be a personal interpreter!

The staff at Sprachen / Internationales were so friendly and were a huge help for us organizing events, courses and excursions locally, to Berlin and to Brussels. I had the greatest experience of my life living and studying in Germany and it is something I will never forget. You have to come to RAC and experience it for yourself! You will not be disappointed!!
