Study & have fun

Right from the start of their first semester, students at the Remagen campus have many opportunities to get to know their fellow students beyond the lecture theatre. Every semester, the General Student Committee (AStA) and the student councils organise an extensive programme of parties, games evenings and other events at the on-campus multi-beach-court, as well as sports activities and holidays. It's not just the annual pool party, but also the social nights at BaRACke, the student-run bar, that make student life so enjoyable and memorable.

Alongside the options at the Remagen campus, the cities of Koblenz, Bonn and Cologne are within easy reach and of course have a wide range of attractions. There are no shortage of places to party and have fun – from nightclubs, student parties, and lively bars and pubs in the old town districts to the beer gardens along the Rhine – this huge range of options means there is something for everyone.

There is always an upbeat atmosphere at the regular sports events held at the new beach volleyball court and at BaRACke, the student bar, which was established by the General Students' Committee.
