Every year, the River Rhine attracts millions of visitors from near and far, particularly the Middle Rhine valley. This 180 km stretch of river between Cologne and Mainz is undoubtedly the most scenic part of the Rhine.  And this is where Koblenz University of Applied Sciences is situated.

The Middle Rhine World Heritage Site is one of Central Europe's warmest and driest regions, and it is also one of its most beautiful.  The landscape ranges from rolling green hills to remarkable rugged rock formations. Whether you’re seeking peace and tranquillity, adventures or lively entertainment, you'll find a fascinating mix of picturesque towns, steep terraced vineyards, medieval castles, an ancient cultural landscape and a wealth of recreational activities along the banks of the Rhine, Moselle and Ahr rivers.

As a student at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, you will inevitably spend many hours working hard in lecture theatres, libraries and laboratories. Our campuses boast state-of-the-art architecture and high-quality facilities. But student life at our university is also about enjoying yourself and having fun beyond the lecture theatres and libraries. The region's lively nightlife has plenty to offer students. The many restaurants, cafés, clubs, bars and beer gardens, beautiful old towns and green spaces along the Rhine and Moselle rivers offer students endless opportunities to relax after demanding lectures and exams. The General Student Committee (AStA) and student councils also organise a range of events to ensure that students don't miss out on the fun.

The RheinMoselCampus is located in Karthause, a green district on the outskirts of Koblenz. The campus is home to four faculties: Faculty of building-arts-materials, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Business and Management. The RhineAhrCampus in Remagen is situated a little further north, close to Bonn. The campus houses two faculties: Faculty of Mathematics and Technology, and Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. At the WesterWaldCampus in Höhr-Grenzhausen, the focus is on glass and ceramics – in the Department of Materials Engineering (Faculty of building-arts-materials) and at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (Fine Arts).
